A Night of Italian-Accented Comfort Food with Two Acclaimed Chefs
Chef Scott Conant dazzled New York City diners with his simple yet bold Italian cooking at Scarpetta, turning basic dishes like spaghetti with tomato sauce into a culinary masterpiece. And Chef Freddy Vargas has logged time in the same kitchen Scarpetta (in New York and Los Angeles), as well as posh resorts like Aman. He’s currently the Executive Chef at rooftop restaurant Everdene in the brand new Virgin Hotel in Manhattan’s hip NoMad neighborhood, where he executes a menu loaded with dishes that marry high-end ingredients with comfort food: foie gras-stuffed empanadas, big eye tuna tartar laced with avocado and chicharron and a corn flour-encrusted fritto misto. Conant and Vargas are teaming up for one night only to serve you a comforting and delicious multi-course meal that blends and represents their individual styles. Lucky diners at this sit-down dinner will get a veritable feast of flavor-popping fare that will be the talk of the next morning.
